Zürcher Theater Spektakel

Tough guys play, sing, perform weird dances ‒ and bring the house down. The young, world-renowned director Jetse Batelaan employs nine kickboxers in his «Varieté Bodybuilders», which he has staged to great acclaim for the Ro Theater Rotterdam. Once more Batelaan succeeds in amusing and disturbing with his radically reduced approach to theatre which focuses on the absurd hilarity of everyday life.
