Zürcher Theater Spektakel

The legendary band of the equally legendary Circus Federlos has reunited. For almost twenty years, Switzerland’s unique and most amazing circus toured throughout Europe and Africa. When this intercultural experiment ended in 1996, Co Streiff, Peter Schärli, Thomy Meier, Christian Kuntner, Fredi Flükiger and Ben Jeger successfully pursued independent careers as professional musicians. In 2010 the band members met again and put together a gig made up of old and new songs, spiced up with their individual musical experiences. What has remained unchanged is the energy, the eagerness to experiment and the unmistakable mix of jazz, rock and improvisation. Circus world music, or as a favourable critic put it: «Ethnic junk at its best». (ron)
