When still a child, Phia Ménard's dream was to juggle with snow balls at Holiday on Ice. Today the artist, who learnt her trade with Jérôme Thomas, is far from wanting to perform in big, glittering spectacles. Nevertheless, she continues to be fascinated with playing around with transmutable, ephemeral material. With her Compagnie Non Nova she investigates what elements can be juggled with. Is it possible to juggle with air? Phia Ménard meets this challenge. «L’après-midi d’un foehn – Version 1» is a tender, playful show with colourful plastic bags, a couple of ventilators and and a gifted juggler-dancer-performer. (kdi)
